So Sudden
The reason behind the title is:
I think its my favorite album by one of my favorite bands. The Hush Sound is a Indie group from Chicago that has a very soft, jazzy type feel to them. I was lucky enough to see them when I attended a FOB concert with my sis (who also introduced me to The Hush Sound).. Thanks $B.
Another Note...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! He's 43 going on 24. A damn cool dad if you ask me. haha.
"Yeah, you know what this is.. It's a celebration bitches!" - Louis Vutton Don (Kanye West)
But now about what is really the reason I blogged out of nowhere...
I've came to realization that there is no one here in Missouri for me. Searching for someone to love or even a possible "soul mate" is practically impossible (comparative to finding a needle in a haystack). But why should I have to search for something that should just happen? Call me crazy but I feel that waiting for the right person is the only path to take right now. There are far more important things in life such as strengthening my relationship with not only my family and friends, but also with God. What good is it to constantly search for someone to be with if there is one here?.. I feel that love will eventually fall in my lap in the most unexpected moment of my life. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to have the time of my life out here in Cape Girardeau but just with a different purpose.
Love in general isn't the the only stressful thing in my life at the moment.. I been here in Missouri not even a year and I'm being asked to graduate early and finish SEMO at the end of the Fall Semester of 2009. Most people would say that its a great thing to be graduating early and to be going back to Cali sooner than expected.. but that's where I say.. "HOLD UP!" ... Southeast Missouri State University is where I will be spending the rest of my college career. Coming from California and transferring from 3 colleges (San Jose State, Laney & Ohlone) pretty much qualifies me to have experienced a good portion of the college system there.. Coming here to Missouri and given the chance to play football and get paid for it is not only is a great thing but it also makes me obligated to stay at one school. I mean... going to 3 different colleges in Cali allowed me to experienced many things... but I feel that it is time for me to settle down with one college and enjoy all that it has to offer. Making me leave early when I just got here kind of hurts... The one school that I can finally say that's where I'm going to be for 2 years... is being shut down by the coaches... They are suggesting that I load up class hours and take more than required in order for them to use my scholarship money for the Spring and give it to an incoming recruit. Who gives them the right to control my work load and my future?? It makes me mad at the fact that it's all about money and not about a person's education. Whatever.
To end on a good note...

Cold Ass Cape!
Today marks the beginning of something that could be a great thing or could be a disaster. Tonight and tomorrow we are expecting either an ICE STORM that would cover everything with at least an inch of ice or a shit load of SNOW consisting of at least 5-10 inches by tomorrow morning. Just a couple of hours ago, it was already looking bad because it started to rain (we all know that rain and sub-freezing temperatures do not mix very well). The reason it would such a good thing would be that there is a good chance that school will be cancelled and we would all have several days off. =) The bad side would be that it is highly dangerous driving and even walking in such weather. There could easily be a car accident or even a nasty spill.. neither are any fun. =/ I'm hoping and praying that we get out of school but im also doing the same to keep everyone safe during these circumstances. Gone.

Over It
It feels good to finally move on.
We had a good run.
It's a shame it didn't go as planned.
I wish you only the best.

I Got That HEAT From The Streets!
Being warm is no longer an issue in my room.
Before winter break I had to dress like this:
Now that I've invested in a SPACE HEATER:
I've been able to dress like this in my room:
Big thanks to technology for coming up with such a brilliant piece of machinery and thanks to my moms for getting me this thang. You're the best! =)

Studying Overseas
Today I did a lot of thinking.. and I came with the idea of studying abroad for my last semester at SEMO. It didn't take much to figure out where I wanted to go. SOUTH KOREA! I went to see a few people and asked a bunch of questions regarding this whole ordeal. I met with a guy at the international center building and best believe he was informative! Here's how it all plays out:
1. The housing cost for the entire semester will be paid for through my football scholarship.
2. The cost of the flight will be to a minimum. $950 Flight - $850 (paid for through scholarship) = $100 flight!
3. Speaking & teaching English to Korean children will earn me $650/per month.
4. Being there for 6 months will guarantee me to be fluent in the language.
5. An experience of a lifetime that will end up being a pretty sweet deal.
I'm basically getting paid to visit and take college courses in a country that is very much foreign to me. My mother was born and raised in South Korea, moved to the US when she was 17 years old and is damn near a white woman now. LOL. I've never been there before and come Spring Semester of 2010, I'll be gone from January til about June. And when I get back, I'll be graduating from SEMO! It's all in the works.. hope it all goes as planned. =)
